Cape Harbour is Cape Coral’s premiere gulf access community. In addition to luxury condos, townhomes, and off water & gulf access single family homes; it offers a myriad of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. Flanked by the large full service Cape Harbour Marina, everything is accessible by boat. The marina offers wet and transient slips as well as dry storage. Slips have gated access and come with shore power, freshwater hookups, free Wi-Fi, pump-out, laundry, and showers. Marina tenants also have access to all of the amenities that other residents enjoy. The location on the spreader canal near the mouth of the river offers one of the best boating locations in all of SWFL. HISTORY
Real estate developer Will Stout bought the project in 2000 from Coral Gables home builder Avatar Corporation. Avatar had only recently started construction of single family homes within the community at that time with maybe 40 or so homes having been built. Stout’s Realmark Development is responsible for making Cape Harbour what it is today. It built out all of the amenities, retail, and condo buildings in the early to mid 2000’s. Realmark sold its remaining raw land within the community in 2015 to an investor that in turn sold it to LDC Cape Harbour Holdings in 2019.
Cape Harbour Now
Over the years many businesses have come and gone with the current mix being of some established and some newer additions. New construction is currently underway on the remaining buildable land with some properties slated for completion in 2022. This last phase of construction will be completed in three parts and will consist primarily of on and off-water townhomes. The first part of this construction is currently underway to the Southeast of the commercial areas in the center of the Funky Fish Houses. Cape Harbour is a better place to live and visit than it has ever been and its only getting better!
